Reta Lain – Passed Away, Saturday May 8th

On March 31st Reta Lain had open heart surgery to correct some blockages. She is in ICU. Please pray for her recovery.

Update April 27: Reta is still in ICU. Her heart seems to be fine but other health issues are causing some complications. She recently had a set-back but seems to be making some progress now. Continue to pray for her recovery.

Update May 3: Reta is still in ICU. She has been breathing on her own some without the help of the machine. She is presently having a problem digesting the food they are giving her through her feeding tube. Please pray the doctors can resolve some of these issues so Reta can heal properly.

Update May 5: The kidney doctor is not optimistic. Reta’s food is still not digesting, her lungs still have fluid and her dialysis is having a hard time keeping up. Please pray for the family as they look at options concerning Reta’s care.

Update May 8th:  Reta went home to be with the Lord at 6:30pm, her family was by her side as she passed.  Funeral arrangements will be posted as soon as they are available.

Update May 9th: Visitation will be held at the Lake Shore Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6pm-8pm, the funeral service will be held at Park Lake Drive Baptist Church on Wednesday at 10am. A funeral dinner will be held for family members in the fellowship hall following the graveside service. Please contact the church office for any further information.
