Minister of Music

Charles joined the staff of Park Lake in July of 2007.  He moved to Waco from Wichita Falls, TX where he served as Music Director for Southside Baptist Church.  As a Reserve Air ForceMajor, Charles was recalled to active duty and deployed to Afghanistan in 2004-2005 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom shortly after moving to Waco.  He has since been promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.  Charles is also a Registered Architect in the State of Texas and is the Senior Architect for the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System practicing predominantly at the Waco campus.

Charles and his two sons Addison and Ian live in Robinson just southeast of Waco. Charles earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Texas A&M University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Arts in Religion – Worship Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA.
