Amos & Mariah Humphries moved to Waco in August 0f 2009. They came from the community of Downriver Detroit where he served as an Associate Pastor of Student/Outreach Ministries at the Gilead Baptist Church of Taylor. They reside in the Waco community of China Spring and have three children: Clay, Juliane and Hannah.
While serving in Taylor Michigan, Amos co-founded the Fish and Loaves Community Food Pantry as well as the Downriver Chaplain Corps. His community involvement included coordinating several area wide events as well as sitting on various committees tackling social concerns.
